ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE) today announced that Mark Megaw has been appointed to the position of General Counsel to the worldwide reinsurance operations of the ACE Group of Companies.
Mr. Megaw will provide legal counsel and support to various ACE Tempest Re operations in Hamilton, Bermuda; Stamford, Connecticut; London, UK and Dublin, Ireland.

Mr. Megaw joined ACE in July 1999 when the Company acquired the US and international property casualty operations of CIGNA Corporation (now ACE INA). Since that time, he has been working in the legal department of ACE INA, where he previously held the position of Assistant General Counsel, providing regulatory counsel to the US property, casualty and aerospace operations.
Mr. Megaw holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Virginia and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston. He joined CIGNA in 1989 as Senior Counsel for their Reinsurance operations, and from 1994 to 1998 served as CIGNA's Director of European Contracts, based in London.
