ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operations of the ACE Group of Companies (NYSE: ACE), today announced the appointment of Patricia Goudarzi as Executive Vice President, ACE Select Markets. ACE Select Markets provides specialty personal lines products which are distributed through large specialty agents, alliances and affinity groups, utilizing internet technology. ACE Select Markets also has the responsibility to leverage this technology to more efficiently distribute ACE USA’s small commercial products in the marketplace. The ACE Select Markets specialty personal lines products include coverage for recreational vehicles, collector automobiles, motorcycles, recreational marine, credit card enhancement programs, and disaster mortgage protection. Based in Philadelphia, Ms. Goudarzi will report to Susan Rivera, President, ACE INA Holdings, Inc.
"Success in today’s specialty marketplace demands both the speed and efficiency that a technology-based distribution system can deliver," stated Ms. Rivera. "As a leader in the Recreational Marine insurance market we have utilized technology to increase our distribution capabilities while enhancing the processing efficiency for ACE and our agents and clients. We have leveraged this technology and introduced web-based solutions to expand the distribution of our recreational vehicle, collector car, and motorcycle products and services. Initially we will focus on systems that service the large specialty agents and affinity groups. We are currently expanding the use of this technology to distribute our commercial products through small commercial agents."
Most recently, Ms. Goudarzi has been senior vice president of ACE USA Power Products where she was responsible for risk management products focused on new risks emerging from the deregulation of the electric power market. Ms. Goudarzi has over 15 years marketing and underwriting experience in the electric power business. Earlier in her career, Ms. Goudarzi held senior roles in the U.S. Department of Energy and with LG&E Energy Marketing.
Ms. Goudarzi holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and a MBA with a concentration in management science from Virginia Polytechnic and State University.
