ACE USA's INAMAR Marine Risk Management Becomes "Marine Advisory Services"
PHILADELPHIAJune 20, 2000

New Name Designed To Capture Core Mission

INAMAR, an ACE USA company, today announced that it is re-naming its Marine Risk Management Unit in order to make the business unit's core mission more immediately clear. Now known as "Marine Advisory Services," it will continue to provide a wide array of technical consultation to both commercial and recreational marine clients who want to safeguard either their shipments of cargo worldwide, or their investment in sail or power yachts.

"Marine Advisory Services better describes the actual advice and consultation service this unit has long provided to our clients: a full range of proactive loss prevention expertise, whether they are shipping cargo to Mexico, or installing a state-of-the-art fire extinguishing system on a mega-yacht," said John Monetta, Marine Advisory Services manager. "We feel that our new name offers a more positive way to capture the mission of our business unit and its technical advisory expertise."

The staff of INAMAR's Marine Advisory Services are among the most experienced in the industry, professionals who can assess marine risks that include cargo, commercial hull, and high-value yachts. They include former merchant marine officers and graduates of various maritime academies, most with a professional designation from the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS). All are active in the professional organizations of maritime and related industries, including the AIMU Cargo Loss Prevention Committee, the American Boat & Yacht Council, the International Cargo Handling Association, and the National Cargo Security Council. Affiliations with these associations assist Marine Advisory Services surveyors in enhancing their knowledge of state-of-the-art packaging, port handling capabilities, cargo security issues, and vessel construction.
