ACE Limited (NYSE: ACL) today announced the appointment of Dominic Frederico as president and chief operating officer of ACE Limited.
Mr. Frederico remains as non-executive chairman of ACE INA Holdings, Inc., the largest single subsidiary of ACE Limited.
Brian Duperreault, chairman and chief executive officer of ACE Limited, said: "I am pleased to have Dominic back in Bermuda to help me manage the holding company and to oversee our greatly expanded global operations. In addition, Dominic will have direct responsibility for supervising our increasing commitment to the financial risk and financial guaranty reinsurance industry."
Mr. Frederico joined ACE as an executive vice president in the Financial Lines (now Tailored Risk Solutions) division in 1995. In December 1996, he was appointed executive vice president, underwriting, and in July 1997 was made responsible for ACE's Bermuda-based insurance operations as president and chief executive officer.
Mr. Frederico holds an MBA in Finance from Drexel University and a certified public accountant's designation in the State of Pennsylvania. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
