John Keogh
Chief Executive Officer, ACE Overseas General
An insurance executive with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, John Keogh joined ACE in 2006 to head the organization responsible for the company’s property and casualty insurance operations outside North America. ACE Overseas General, one of the company’s principal divisions, includes ACE International, with operations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pacific, and ACE Global Markets, the company’s London-based international excess and surplus lines business.
Prior to joining ACE in 2006, Mr. Keogh served as Senior Vice President, Domestic General Insurance, for American International Group (AIG), and President and Chief Executive Officer of National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh (an AIG member company) from April 2000 to April 2006. From August 1998 to April 2000, Mr. Keogh held the position of Executive Vice President, AIG Domestic Brokerage Group, Head of Field Operations. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer, Lexington Insurance Company, from July 1997 to August 1998, and as President, AIG Domestic Brokerage Group, Commercial Accounts Division, from August 1996 to July 1997. Prior to those appointments Mr. Keogh was President, Commercial Risk Division, AIG Risk Management, from January 1995 to August 1996, and Division President, General Casualty, American Home Assurance Company, from June 1993 to January 1995.
John is a member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of New York and served on the board of overseers for The School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science of St. John’s University.
Mr. Keogh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brown University.
