Andreas Lewin
Managing Director, ACE Tempest Re
Andreas Lewin, who is based in London, was appointed Managing Director of ACE Tempest Re Europe in June 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Lewin served as Deputy Managing Director of ACE Tempest Re Europe, a position he held since June 2007.
Mr. Lewin previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer, ACE Tempest Re Bermuda and Chief Underwriting Officer, US Property, ACE Tempest Re Bermuda. He joined ACE in April 1998 as Vice President Underwriting US Property, when Cat Ltd. was acquired by ACE Limited. He began his reinsurance career with Cat Ltd. in 1994 as a catastrophe model analyst.
Mr. Lewin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston and the Associate in Reinsurance designation (ARe).
