ACE participates in Climate Leaders In 2007 ACE announced its participation in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders program as part of our efforts to develop a long-term, comprehensive climate-change strategy.  Partners set a greenhouse gas reduction goal and inventory their emissions to measure progress. By reporting data to EPA, partners create a lasting record of their accomplishments and identify themselves as corporate environmental leaders.  Through our participation in Climate Leaders, we have pledged to measure and reduce our corporate greenhouse gas emissions on a company-wide basis and to report on our progress.

ACE completed its GHG inventory in November of 2007, with a total of 64,451 metric tons of carbon equivalents from various sources reported globally. Of that total, 45,468 metric tons of carbon equivalents is to some degree within our control and will be the baseline for reduction targets in the Climate Leaders program.

ACE is also a voluntary responding company for the Carbon Disclosure Project, an independent not-for-profit organization which aims to create a lasting relationship between shareholders and corporations regarding the implications for shareholder value and commercial operations presented by climate change.
